Description
SLO:

EN:
The primary research objective is to further explore and empirically test the field of eco-innovation, focusing specifically on the user perspective and green consumerism.
The study aims to examine green consumerism from the user’s perspective.
It seeks to address a research gap—also highlighted by other scholars in the field (e.g., Vermeir & Verbeke, 2008)—regarding the discrepancy between users’ expressed positive attitudes toward eco-friendly products and their actual purchasing behavior.
There is a need for a more precise and in-depth understanding of the determinants of green purchase intention and green consumerism—an area currently lacking sufficient coverage in the literature.
The central research question concerns the determinants of green purchase intention and whether such intention acts as a mediator in the relationship between selected determinants and green consumerism. Furthermore, the proposed international collaboration will facilitate the continued development of a successful partnership and joint research with a US-based researcher; this collaboration has already resulted in a joint presentation of a new eco-innovation concept at an international conference and the publication of two articles in indexed scientific journals.
